It's showtime!
It's showtime!
This is it. The NFL playoffs have returned to Texas Stadium for the first time in eleven years -- the last time Dallas actually won a playoff game. But as we all know, that will change this year, right?
At 13-3, Dallas is by far the superior team. Dallas ranks 3rd in the league in overall offense and a respectable 9th in total defense. New York is 10-6 on the year -- and is riding a eight-game road winning streak with a pretty impressive running game (4th in the league). Something Dallas could use a bit of these days.
There have been numerous concerns raised this week at Valley Ranch, as seems to happen every week, but even more so this week (understandably, given the playoff-win drought around here). Concerns mainly revolve around that lame running game, T.O.'s condition, and of course, whether or not Jessica will be attending the game. Well, I have learned one thing this week ... Jessica will NOT be at the game. I read something about her being too busy recording her next album. Is that the excuse her reps came up with? Yeah, right, but I'll take it.
I really think Dallas can win solidly if they show up and play like the Cowboys from November. They just need to come out with the swagger that was missing last month -- which shouldn't be that hard to do as a 13-3, 1st-seeded team, at home in front of a crowd who hasn't seen a playoff game in more than a decade. Well that, and not use Romo as the placeholder.
