The Lone Star decision
The Lone Star decision
I think it's pretty amazing that Texas will be playing such a large role in the outcome of the presidency this year. Usually, by the time Texas gets its hands involved in the primary process, the outcome has long since been decided. Not this election.
If you've been keeping up, you know that latest polls have both Obama and Clinton in virtual tie -- with Obama up by a percentage point or two, but within the margin of error. As for McCain and Huckabee, the sentiment has been pretty much questioning why good ol' Huck is still in the race (when he knows it's mathematically impossible for him to catch up in delegates). I guess if he dropped out he couldn't make those SNL appearances.
As for Tuesday's main event, I will be voting Democratic for the first time in my life. A pretty big deal considering I'm 28, right? Besides voting for who I think is the most refreshing figure in politics since the 60s, I think it's incredible that my vote will also be a part of potentially ending the Clinton dynasty.
Hillary's campaign will die Tuesday night and it will die right here in Texas.
