My dad retired in March.

Their house went up for sale in May.

They received a contract on the house this month.

Now my parents will be visiting back-to-back weekends starting tomorrow in an effort to explore the possibility of moving to the northern fringe of the Dallas area once they sell their Houston home in August.  For those of you unfamiliar with Dallas -- they're looking about 30 miles north of downtown primarily in the communities of Frisco and The Colony.

They're exploring their options here in addition to a few hours further north in Norman, Oklahoma -- where my brother Jason and his family reside.

My parents' dream has always been to live close to their children ... now the question is, will our buffer zone go from the current 4 hours to 3 hours, or from 4 hours to 30 minutes?
