I could've never guessed that my parents would find a home in less than 2 days, but that's what happened over the weekend.

By end of their first full day of house hunting, they had found their brand new home. The following day they had an accepted offer and a sold sign was placed in the lawn.

They'll be moving up in early August to the western edge of Frisco, off the shores of Lake Lewisville.

I told Lori we found a free dog kennel when we're out of town -- the only catch is that it's a 40-minute drive up from our apartment downtown. Well worth it!

Lori and I both remember growing up around those fun families that went to the lake every weekend -- and sadly, neither of us were in one of those families. But we might be making up for lost time.

With my parents moving here, my dad wants to take advantage of the lake they will be living next to.

Who knows, maybe this will become a regular thing in the future.
