Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell, on the upcoming health care summit and the overall idea of Obama's push for health care reform on Fox News Sunday:
"The fundamental point I want to make is the arrogance of all of this. You know, they are saying: 'Ignore the wishes of the American people. We know more about this than you do. And we're going to jam it down your throats no matter what.' That is why the public is so angry at this Congress and this administration over the issue."
How many times are we going to hear this line?
News flash: A minority fringe group who think they live in Boston in 1773 IS NOT the collective voice of the American people. Nor are they limited to just those who voted against Obama and ones who are polled by Fox News on a weekly basis.
There are those in this country who are outraged that progress isn't taking shape in Washington. Mainly because the minority party has decided to stop working completely in effort to focus on painting the opposition as a Nazi regime.
In 2006, the country voted for an overwhelming Democratic congress. Two years ago, they voted for a president whose top priority was health care reform. The American majority voted for change. Health care reform is one of those changes.
The GOP needs to stop complaining and just govern.
